Profile

Started in 1956 as Department of Extension, it was renamed as Department of Extension Education in 1988. Primary programmes are five fold - extension, teaching, research, training and monitoring & evaluation. Rural Project Management programme (MBA) and evolution of development projects comprise the thrust areas.
